Ballygarrett For Some Friday Night Hurling

The start of May usually means one or two things in Ireland. Flowers starting to blossom and the Celtic festival Lá Bealtaine takes place.

It's an away trip for Bannow / Ballymitty's under-14 hurlers as they kick off their campaign in Ballygarrett.

Kick off, or excuse me throw in is timed to take place at 19:15pm in Round One of the New Ross Standard Hurling Championship Division Four.

This has a feel of what some would call a catch up game for Bannow and Ballygarrett with the League having kicked off on April 10th.

Bannow / Ballymitty and Ballygarrett sit in the middle of the 'pack' but it will be interesting to see where they both sit after this game on Friday.

For context, the previous matches have played out as follows:

Horeswood GAA 1-7 : Davidstown Courtnacuddy 1-8

CLG Naomh Padraig 10-11 : 0-1 Marshalstown Castledockrell

Crossabeg Ballymurn 4-8 : 1-4 Askamore

We would like to wish the players and the management team ahead of the League campaign, the very best of luck.
