Monday night just gone seen the first Quarter Final match of the Summer for Bannow / Ballymitty as our u-16 side played host to Ballyhogue.

We would like to congratulate the Bannow / Ballymitty players and their management team on a job well done, after winning what was a fantastically competitive encounter.
To be honest with you, from the sideline, it looked very much like a Pep Guardiola inspired Manchester City side that themselves have hit form at just the right time as they march on the Premier League once more.
The game itself was so captivating, so much so that even I managed to miss one of the three Bannow / Ballymitty goals. I had it as a close game, to me it finished 2-12 to 2-8 in Bannow's favour.
I guess I was wrong, happily I might add.
Having had a look at the other Quarter Finals: St James' were given a walkover by Shelmaliers. Naomh Eanna got the win over the Starlights. We are just waiting for St Martin's GAA match with Ballynastragh Gaels.
