Jim Byrne Cup League Concludes

The Jim Byrne Football Cup League campaign has concluded for 2023 and BB / O'Rahilly's can pat themselves on the back for a job well done.

As you can see by the graphic (pictured) in the three matches Bannow / Ballymitty and Gusserane as they teamed up once again for 2023 did very well indeed.

Out of the three games played, they came away with two wins and a loss to leave them with 4 points overall.

Things didn't start so well for our side, as in their first home game of the season they went down by 5 points to St Anne's of Rathangan. Final score was 2-10 St Anne's : 1-8 BB / O'Rahilly's.

Things very much turned around in their second game of the League. The final score ended up being 27 points to 10 in BB / O'Rahilly's favour. Horeswood GAA Club travelled to meet our side and it was more or less a walk in the park.

There was plenty of goals in our last game of the League, away to St James'. St James' would get four goals and BB / O'Rahilly's would put away 6 goals overall. Each side put over 9 and 8 points.

Even though the above took place, the game was very close in the end. St James' scored a total of 21 points and BB / O'Rahilly's managed to score 26 points.

We would like to take this opportunity to heap our praise on the players and management team of BB / O'Rahilly's.
